XENTEL RATED #6 FOR RETURN ON COMMON EQUITY IN TOP 1000 CANADIAN PUBLIC COMPANIES REPORT BY REPORT ON BUSINESS

TORONTO, ON, July 2, 2002 - XENTEL DM Incorporated (TSX Venture:XDM), is pleased to announce that on July 2, 2002, the Globe and Mail’s highly respected Report on Business Magazine rated Xentel:

                      #6 in return of common equity
                      #376 in after tax profitability
                      #459 in revenue

The Report on Business rankings are based on performance of the top 1,000 publicly traded Canadian companies for 2001.

In 2001 management’s primary priorities were to complete integration of U.S. operations and revive overall profitability. It succeeded quite dramatically: Profitability was 17 times higher in 2001 than in 2000. Success at integrating acquisitions with overall operations and remarkable growth in profitability translated into a substantial improvement in shareholder value. Consolidated revenues for fiscal 2001 were $97.4 million, 4% higher than fiscal 2000. EBITDA improved by $5.0 million to $9.6 million, and net earnings improved by $6.1 million from $0.4 million to $6.5 million.
