XENTEL DM INC. AND CALGARY POLICE ASSOCIATION
LAUNCH MAJOR STAMPEDE EVENT

CALGARY, AB, April 22, 2002 –XENTEL DM Incorporated (CDNX:XDM) and the Calgary Police Association formally announced today the latest in Xentel’s innovative, community-based entertainment events.

The Cuff & Billy Rock ‘N Country Saloon will occupy an entire city block in downtown Calgary, for the duration of the 2002 Calgary Stampede (July 4 – 14). To be situated on land owned by the Calgary Police Association, this mega event will feature non-stop live entertainment with over 15 acts delivering tribute performances of up tempo musical legends like Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Faith Hill, Shania Twain and more, all under a circus big top. Food and beverage partner Radisson Hotels will cater the palates and slake the thirst of the estimated 50,000 attendees, while retired Calgary Police officers will maintain law and order. In the interest of public safety, revelers are encouraged to choose responsible, safe driving alternatives where called for; including Calgary Transit’s convenient, nearby LRT service.

Sgt. Mike Lomore, coordinator for the Calgary Police Association observed in a recent newspaper interview “…ticket sales will target corporations. Anybody can buy a ticket, but we’re trying to pre-sell the entire event so we get a class of people that’s different than any other event.”

Geoff Pickering, President, Xentel DM Inc. commented, “Xentel’s mandate is to create, market and manage innovative cause-related events in partnership with public safety and community organizations. This event is one of the most exciting we have ever collaborated on. The Calgary Stampede is an institution, and it showcases the spirit that exemplifies Calgarians. The Rock ‘N Country Saloon is proud to be part of the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth, as the real beneficiaries will be two worthy local charities – The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada and the Missing Children Society of Canada”.

He added, “This effort will help foster a greater sense of community between the public and the men and women in uniform members of the Calgary Police Association, who are charged with the daily responsibility of serving and protecting the community”.
