The Larkins
The Larkins

2002 marks the 12th Anniversary of The Larkins performing together as a family, with sisters Tina and Shaunna recently stepping up to the front of the stage to begin their own spotlight careers.

The Larkins perform over 150 dates in the United States and Canada while still finding time over the past two years to take their music of the Great Smokey Mountains to Israel, Ireland and Japan.

Four family members make up The Larkins: eighteen year old Tina on lead vocals and mandolin; twenty year old Shaunna on fiddles and lead vocals and harmony, while backing them is mother Barbara playing banjo and piano and dad Lowell singing baritone and playing guitar.

July 7, 2001 was a milestone in their career when The Larkins made their first appearance on the world famous Grand Ole Opry. Stepping off stage Tina remarked, “Someday I may be able to tell you how I feel right now… but it may take a few years.”
